Welcome to the portal for Workstation Assessment Services under the OGP Framework for the provision of Health and Safety Training, Consultancy and Advisory Services to the Public Sector.
Usafety have been chosen under a framework agreement to provide Workstation(DSE) assessments to all public sector bodies. We will endeavour to make the organisation and delivery of these assessments as efficient as possible through clear booking systems and reporting.
Each organisation will have different approaches to co-ordinating assessments. It is important to be aware that we can not deal with an individual assessment request and so you must nominate a central person within your department who is responsible for organising assessments for groups of staff. That person will be referred to in our systems as "Organiser". All requests, purchase order arrangements and reporting will be through this person.
Understanding the service and its elements.
There are two ways of carrying out the assessment
1. In-Person
2. Remote
In- person involves our assessors going to either your staff members office or home office and carrying out a through assessment of their workstation making modifications as required to ensure that they are sitting as comfortably and safely as possible. Where new furniture/equipment is required, we will advise your Organiser
Remote assessments are carried out over a remote internet link using Microsoft Teams. The asseesor will guide your staff member to adjust their workstation so they are sitting comfortably and as safely as possible. Where new equipment/furniture is required we will advise your organiser
Display screen assessments are a requirement under the display screen assessments regulations, 2007. The assessment is designed to ensure that you are correctly positioned at your workstation with minimal risk of injury and discomfort from poor postures or repetitive movements. You will be provided with information to ensure your ongoing comfort and safety.
