Who we work with

Office buyer types

Large office employers

200–10,000 staff. Multi-site rollouts, hybrid policies, mature H&S function.

Hybrid + remote-first

Staff working from home all or part of the time. We deliver assessments remotely so distance is not a barrier.

Government & semi-state

OGP framework drawdown for DSE assessments. Multiple departments, agencies and semi-states are existing customers.

Mid-market & SME

Smaller offices that need compliance done properly without the cost of an in-house ergonomist.

Hybrid and remote

The remote-worker problem, solved

The DSE Regulations apply wherever your employee habitually works on screen equipment — including the home office. Usafety delivers remote DSE assessments via MS Teams; staff connect from a browser link, no install. The full compliance picture lives in the organisation dashboard. The HSA expects employers to manage this; we make managing it the same as managing any onsite programme.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

What does an office DSE assessment cover?

A Display Screen Equipment (DSE) assessment evaluates a workstation against the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (SI 299/2007). It looks at chair, desk, monitor positioning, keyboard and mouse, lighting and reflections, posture and break patterns, and any reported aches or pains. Usafety delivers assessments either remotely (~30 minutes via MS Teams) or in person, then issues an instant report with corrective actions and equipment recommendations.

Do hybrid and remote workers need DSE assessments?

Yes. The DSE Regulations apply wherever your employee habitually works on screen equipment, including the home office. The HSA expects employers to ensure remote workers have assessed and compliant setups. Usafety delivers remote DSE assessments via MS Teams; staff connect from a browser link, no install required.

How do we run a DSE programme across hundreds of staff?

Through Usafety's DSE software platform. The buying organisation gets a portal and dashboard. Staff self-book assessment slots from a calendar link. Reports generate instantly with pictograms and exercises. Equipment recommendations flow into a remediation workflow your facilities team can action. There is no cap on the number of assessments.

What about ergonomic assessments for office staff with pain or injury?

An ergonomic assessment is the deeper, clinical version of a DSE assessment — used when an employee reports persistent discomfort, returns to work after injury, or has a specific clinical reason for a tailored setup. Stage 1 is a phone/virtual consultation with our senior ergonomist; Stage 2 is an onsite visit by an assigned assessor. Report and sign-off follow.
